25.10.2005 - General order from Swiss National Science Foundation SNSF

The consortium of PGK Software & Communication GmbH, Staufen/Germany and follow IT solutions GmbH, Bern/Switzerland accepted the bid of Swiss National Science Foundation to develop a .NET-based application for the administration of it’s proposals and funding business.

The web-based management of proposals has the objective of an overall communication concept between applicants of subsidies and SNSF. The modular application will be built step-by-step in several stages until 2007.  At the occasion of the implementation the multilingual websites for Internet and Intranet of SNSF will switch over to the .NET based CMS QualiSite of PGK. This way the proposal management can be integrated seamlessly into the website.

The major part of the development work will be developed by PGK. Particularly the very extensive, numerous and individual forms which depend on the type of application are a big challenge. Project managament and the development of various interfaces will be handled among other things by the local partner follow IT solutions GmbH.

Swiss National Science Foundation is a foundation under private law. It supports research work within and outside of universities on behalf of  the Swiss Federation for Research Work. The subsidiary in Bern has about 130 employees and administrates the council for foundation and research. The subsidiary is in charge of all financial and administrative tasks. With the help of the proposal management more than 2000 proposals can be administrated and more than 400 million CHF are being granted every year.
