History

1995

Start of Mediart.Software GbR by Guido Kämper, Patrick A. Lorenz und Kai Rosenkranz. Development of software products for SmallOffice- und HomeOffice-solutions.

The first product was  „Le Bureau 95“. Due to it's practical approach more than 500.000 copies were produced.

1996

Years before the start of the New Economy the first project for the Internet was launched. The products of Mediart.Software GmbH were sold through an implemented shop System which was quite remarkable at that time.

1997

The start of a strategic partnership with a distributor offered excellent possibilities for the sales of CD-ROM-products in all German-speaking countries.

1998

Start of a strategic partnership with DeTeMobil GmbH (today: T-Mobile AG) as content provider for IT-topics, particularly the Internet.

1999

Many projects in multimedia, the Internet and CD-ROM in this and following years. In cooperation with Business & Tourist Home GmbH and Mitwohnzentrale Essen an entertainment guide was developed.

2003

The division PGK is specialist in the development of browser-based Software for the Inter-, Intra-and Extra-net on the basis of .NET. In February 2003 PGK Software & Communication was founded, emerging from Mediart.Software GmbH. The name PGK is based on the initial letters of the first name of the former founders.

Michael Brunnhuber starts as chief executive officer (CEO) and brings in more than 15 years of international experience in marketing, communication and project management.

Second founder is Patrick A. Lorenz, chief technical officer (CTO), who has published various books on web development with .NET and has a lot of practical experience in this field. He accompanied the new technology .NET right from it's beginning as author, trainer and consultant.

PGK works for various new customers as for example Microsoft Germany or the automotive service provider Formel D.

At the occasion of the Microsoft conference PDC 2003 in Los Angeles the worldwide first published book about ASP.NET is being presented to the public. Author of the book is Patrick A. Lorenz, CTO of PGK.

2004

The PGK owned .NET-CMS QualiSite forms the basis for many new customer's projects in Europe and in the US. Among others for Förch group, the internationally active provider VIA NET.WORKS including subsidiaries, Microsoft Germany and Microsoft UK.

Several new companies from Germany and Switzerland decide to go for a Premium Partnership with QualiSite. After having gone through a specific training they start to use QualiSite  for their own customer projects.

QualiSite gets certified as ".NET connected" by Microsoft. The certification assures that QualiSite is exclusively based on current technologies and meets the high requirements regarding functionality and safety. A second certification as "Verified for Windows Server 2003" is done by VeriTest, Ireland.

PGK gets the status of a Certified Partner by Microsoft. CTO Patrick A. Lorenz is reappointed as MVP.NET (Most VAluable Professional .NET) by Microsoft.

The premises of PKG in Staufen/Germany are being enlarged towards the end of the year to meet the requirements of additional employments.
